At the start of the year, many of us make resolutions which
we fully intend to keep. We know that
losing weight will be beneficial to our health and there is no shortage of
information of how to go about it. We
look at the right kind of diet and join gyms to increase our work outs.In
themselves, these are good things to practice and will be beneficial.
However, we have to look at the reasons why there has been a
weight increase in the first place because there are many circumstances which
cause us to eat unwisely and so put on weight.
Emotional problems such as stress, loneliness and depression
are all factors which may encourage us to take the extra few mouth fulls which
are really not necessary and play a significant role in the weight gain.
If we are to lose weight and, most importantly, keep it off,
we need to explore why we continue to eat too much and why we are eating food
which is sabotaging our New Year Resolution.
This is possibly the most important step in our desire to lose
weight. People use food to treat their
sadness, stress and loneliness.
